About Technology with Trust

Technology with Trust is where I share practical perspectives on security, technology, and risk. I write about designing secure systems and making the decisions that help organisations manage risk and move forward with confidence.

Who it’s for

I write for security leaders, including CISOs, and for CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other executives who need to make decisions about security and risk. I also write for the technical and business teams who help put those decisions into practice.

Security can be complex. I aim to explain it in plain language without losing the technical detail, so readers with and without a security background can follow the issue and understand the choices involved.

What I write about

Security is shaped by more than technology. Architecture and engineering matter, as do risk, governance, budgets, suppliers, and business priorities. I bring these parts together to help leaders see the trade-offs, set direction, and make security decisions that work for the organisation.

My topics include enterprise security architecture and engineering, technology risk and governance, resilience, and AI security and governance.

Experience

I began my career as a software engineer and spent more than a decade building enterprise applications. I have worked across technology and cybersecurity for more than two decades, including 15 years in financial services.

My work has included security architecture and engineering, cloud security, strategy, risk and governance, budgeting, and RFPs. That experience informs how I think about designing secure systems and how leaders weigh security needs against investment, priorities, and business goals.

The views expressed here are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of any current, former, or future employer.
